You’d think that folks would have realised after Cyberpunk that overhyping a game, buying in to wild speculation, and / or allowing expectations to skyrocket will only lead to disappointment. But here comes the Internet, ever so consistently, doing all of the above as Blue Box’s Abandoned demo is delayed due to technical issues.

If this does turn out to be an elaborate Kojima level troll, then… ok, I guess? And if Blue Box are just making a pretty looking horror game, that’s OK too. My point is, either way, it’s a game announcement. If it’s Silent Hill or PT in disguise, that’s exciting. If it’s a brand new IP, that’s exciting too.

But can’t we just react to what something IS, without needing to buy in to every conceivable, unverified rumour in order to generate redundant conversation?!

After all, one could even argue that this article is, itself, a bit redundant...

Redundant.

Redundant has a syllable in it that sounds like “Done”.

When you deliver a parcel, you say “Done” out loud. Obviously.

Death Stranding was about delivering parcels.

GUESS WHO MADE THAT GAME?!
