Cross play, the right way.

I can feel it in my dodgeballs. Knockout City is going to be a thing worthy of investment. I’m still suffering withdrawal from the recent Beta, which laid out a platter of nuanced mechanics, comprehensive cross play integration (take notice, Hood!), and… proper ugly character designs. But in almost every other way, it’s the complete package.

Also now launching on EA Play / Game Pass Ultimate! I had (wrongly) assumed the budget price release would have precluded it from implementation into a sub from the outset, but I’ve never been happier to be wrong. The guarantee of a healthy, hungry player base, coupled with a simultaneous multiplatform release, has set Knockout City up for the win.

If they can keep in game playlists fresh, alongside a decent stream of new arenas and special… balls, I could see this quickly becoming a dominant presence in my rotation. New IP for the win! One of this years biggest surprises, especially after that terrible debut trailer during the last Nintendo Direct…
