REACTION - Little Nightmares 3 supporting co-op is an appreciated addition
One of the coolest reveals from Keighley’s latest nug fest was the return of Little Nightmares, with a third instalment now on the brew under the watchful eye of Supermassive Games. It’s an intriguing tangent for them, given their existing commitments to a second season of Dark Pictures Anthology titles, but a wonderful pairing and a chance for them to stretch their spooky wings.
Although Little Nightmares 3 is confirmed to support solo play (with an A.I. companion), the addition of co-op in a horror title will definitely open doors for folks who don’t like experiencing them without a comfort friend to share the jump scares. It’s a series that was expected to have been all wrapped up since original devs Tarsier have been enveloped into the amorphous blob that is Embracer.
But since Bandai Namco retain the IP rights, all bets are off baby! This could end up being a less wholesome and far more unsettling version of Unravel…
