REACTION - Rocket League Is Adding James Bond’s Aston Martin DB5, And Now Brand Synergy Has Peaked
One can’t help but chuckle at a jolly crossover. Zombie Army 4 including Left 4 Dead characters was an immediate win, and Fortnite has taken this idea to the extreme with its reality bending partnerships. Psyonix’s reveal of James Bond’s Aston Martin DB5 being added to the Rocket League Store is another example of where stuff like this makes sense.
Now, it’s important to acknowledge that this isn’t a free update. This is a premium item, costing 1100 credits. And as with most things of this nature, your interest will vary dramatically depending upon your investment in the game itself and the specific usage of crossover IP.
But also… it’s an Aston Martin.
TARPS?
At the bottom of some of our articles, you’ll see a series of absurd looking images (with equally stupid, in joke laden names). These are the TARP badges, which represent our ‘Totally Accurate Rating Platform’. They allow us to identify specific things, recognise positive or negative aspects of a games design, and generally indulge our consistent silliness with some visual tomfoolery.
