NUMBA ONE.

We’re a long road [getting from there to here] away from the Activision era of Star Trek delights like Bridge Commander, Elite Force, Armada and Away Team (if you know, you know). Outside of Star Trek: Online, the license has largely stagnated in recent years with a flurry of throwaway mobile games and the odd wonky tie in. It’s long overdue to remodulate the main deflector and crank out something worthy of this hungry fanbase.

Enter Star Trek: Resurgence, now convinced that it’s actually releasing on May 23rd after they fired phasers on the announcement a little early. It’s from a bunch of former Telltale devs, and is exactly the kind of narrative, character focused game that this particular Trek fan has been hoping for. Their chosen genre suits the source material too, with Trek often more effective as a slow paced, cerebral effort.

Star Trek: Resurgence exits the wormhole on May 23rd, for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
