REACTION - It would be lovely if Respawn were actually teasing Titanfall 3

Where do I sign up?

Titanfall 3 is a nebulous, unannounced thing, that has shifted from the developer sentiment of “we’d love to make it, but not right now”, to “why the hell aren’t you playing Apex Legends?!”. We so want to will this one into existence, if only for the simple reason that BT can be resurrected and we can go stomping around with our quippy Titan buddy once again.

Titanfall 2’s campaign and multiplayer is widely regarded as one of the best shooters ever made two across console generations. It’s also often relegated to the “it was too crowded at launch so I missed it” drawer in your desk. A well documented terrible release schedule left it treading water, and with Respawn’s increasingly busy focus, a near to mid term follow up seemed all but dead and buried.

But some funky stuff has started to happen. Long over due stability updates. Weird playlists shenanigans. Strange looking code sequences at the bottom of patch notes that appear to mean something. Even Apex mascots popping up where they shouldn’t. If this all leads to a Titanfall 3 unveiling, and not just an event for Apex Legends, I’ll cock my Mastiff like it’s hunting season in the Outlands.

TARPS?

At the bottom of some of our articles, you’ll see a series of absurd looking images (with equally stupid, in joke laden names). These are the TARP badges, which represent our ‘Totally Accurate Rating Platform’. They allow us to identify specific things, recognise positive or negative aspects of a games design, and generally indulge our consistent silliness with some visual tomfoolery.
