REACTION - Apex Legends Continues To Endure
Despite an increasingly saturated market, and a whole heap of games vying for ones collective attention, Apex Legends has maintained an upward trajectory. Respawn have become a top tier developer for EA, with multiple projects brewing at various stages, but the Titanfall era shooter continues to go from strength to strength.
In their recent earnings report, EA highlighted that Apex has achieved another impressive milestone: during the previous quarter, its “monthly active players were up more than 30% year-over-year”. For a title rapidly approaching its third anniversary, I’m so chuffed to see that momentum is still ongoing.
I myself dropped off Apex a couple of Seasons ago, having been a fairly consistent player since its inception. With current gen consoles dominating my play time, I’m holding out for the proper next gen patch, and the much anticipated addition of cross progression, so I can bring over all of my last gen unlocks and play the game in its best form. Still, today’s report is certainly an indication of an enduring, and expanding, appetite for this particular flavour of battle royale.
