Thar be jolliness brewing in these here loins, for Control is about to return in a big way. Remedy’s confirmation of a multiplayer spin off set in the same world (please be a narrative based co-op campaign!), alongside news of a full blown single player sequel is extremely exciting.

Now, while I appreciate 505 Games opening their check book and getting these games funded, I’m nervous about inevitable Ultimate Editions and terrible upgrade practices. They shanked the next gen ports for the original Control, which is a shame. That games legacy doesn’t deserve to be mired by silly publishing decisions.

But! 505 clearly believe in what Remedy are doing, and with another Epic Games published Remedy project in development (please be Alan Wake 2!) there’s a lot of reasons to be excited.

TARPS?

At the bottom of some of our articles, you’ll see a series of absurd looking images (with equally stupid, in joke laden names). These are the TARP badges, which represent our ‘Totally Accurate Rating Platform’. They allow us to identify specific things, recognise positive or negative aspects of a games design, and generally indulge our consistent silliness with some visual tomfoolery.
