REACTION - Apex Legends finally gets Cross Progression, but you might still have to wait

Impatient mgee.

After what feels like a Nessie sized wait for the addition of cross progression to Apex Legends, developer Respawn finally decide to put us out of our misery and make our dreams come true. The one caveat: the functionality is being added with a gradual phased approach to ensure stability, which means that depending on when your EA account arbitrarily pops up within their new system, it could be weeks before you can migrate and combine your unlocks.

I had the new season installed and ready to go. This was to be my triumphant return. But alas, it twasn’t (?) to be. As Falco once said, I guess I should be thankful. But burying the exact cadence of this rollout in a follow up tweet was not the best way to set expectations. You could say that this is an entirely salty and unreasonable reaction, but here we are.

Apex Legends cross progression will happen during this current season. Eventually.

TARPS?

At the bottom of some of our articles, you’ll see a series of absurd looking images (with equally stupid, in joke laden names). These are the TARP badges, which represent our ‘Totally Accurate Rating Platform’. They allow us to identify specific things, recognise positive or negative aspects of a games design, and generally indulge our consistent silliness with some visual tomfoolery.
